New Life Lutheran Church is a member congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod (ELS) and is in fellowship with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). We surely live in a sinful world that is worthy of nothing good from God. When we look into our own hearts we also see imperfection because we are guilty of sins against God in what we think, what we do and what we say. This makes each of us worthy of nothing good from God.
But thanks be to God, there is good news! The Bible tells us that God still loves the world; He doesn’t want anyone to perish. Therefore He has provided a way to escape from the just punishment of our sins. In His love and grace, He sent His only-begotten Son Jesus Christ into the world to be our Savior. It was Jesus who lived a perfect, sinless life and then died on the cross of Calvary to pay the penalty for our sins. All of this is proven by the fact that Jesus didn’t stay dead, but rose from the grave three days later. By faith in Him we now have the forgiveness of all our sins and the sure hope of eternal life when we leave this world.
